Dear Peking University alumni,
As you have already known, China is experiencing a difficult time with SARS
outbreaks in numerous cities. Teachers, students, and staff of Peking University
are trying their best to overcome this unexpected disease. Many alumni and
friends of Peking University are also making great efforts to provide prompt
assistance to our Alma Mater.
Peking University Education Foundation USA (PKUEF (USA)) is currently calling on
joint efforts by Peking University alumni and friends in North America to
donate funds to PKUEF (USA) for purposes of supporting Peking University in its
ongoing fight again SARS. Please see the letter (two versions) from PKUEF (USA)
at 'http://www.pku.org/sars_donation/SARSLetter_English.docand
'http://www.pku.org/sars_donation/SARSLetter_Chinese.doc'. A letter from
President of Peking University to PKU alumni can be found at
The Peking University Alumni Association of Southern California gives full
support to this initiative, and calls our alumni to generously donate money for
PKU including PKU's six hospitals in their fight again SARS.
This year is the 105th anniversary of Peking University. PUAASC postponed our
alumni annual gathering due to concern about SARS. But we hope that we can show
support for our Alma Mater by actions.
If you would like to donate, please make your check payable to
