Dear alumni,

As announced in our last newsletter, we have received the receipts of donations

to PKU Education Foundation (USA) signed by the Vice Chairman of the

Foundation. All those generous donations were made on or shortly after the

4/14/2001 meeting organized by PUAASC to welcome President Xu Zhihong and the

delegation of the PKU Education Foundation. We will mail the donation receipts

to the alumni donors shortly.

The report of the 4/14/2001 event has thus been updated at

http://pku.org/report.htm with the latest donation info, which is also included

below for your convenience. If any of the donors find any error there, please

contact me via e-mail.

Subject: Welcome to the party for Beijing's bid on Olympic2008!

Dear friends,

As you know, International Olympic Committee will select the hosting city

of 2008 Olympic game tomorrow. Among the 5 cities, Beijing is the hottest

one. The overseas Chinese groups and China Consulate General at LA will

hold a big event when voting is going on at Moscow. There will be live

broadcast from Beijing and Moscow on voting progress, etc. The

celebration is scheduled, given that Beijing wins. Of course, the

breakfast will be served too.

Everyone of you and your friends are very welcome to join the party.

Location: Headquarter of North America Satelite TV station.
