Subject: PUAASC EC Election Campaign Has Started

Dear alumni,

After three weeks of nominations and self-nominations, we will soon announce

two PUAASC Executive Committee Candidate Teams, each has 1 President

Candidate, 4 Vice President Candidates, and optionally some number of

committee members. In the next few weeks, you will hear a lot from them: They

will introduce themselves to you, share with you their visions for leading

PUAASC in 2004 and 2005, and ask you to vote for their team. YOU WILL BE ASKED

TO VOTE IN DECEMBER FOR ONE AND ONLY ONE TEAM.

The two President Candidates are:

Luo Yanan (Jenny), PKU 84 Biology, Hogan & Hartson Patent Agent

Wu Xiaoping (Michael), PKU 82 Physics, Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor

They will provide detail introductions about their candidate members by 12/1.

An election event will be held on Saturday, 12/13 or Sunday, 12/14. The time

and location will be announced in about a week. All Beida and Beiyi alumni

in Southern California are encouraged to attend and vote. For those alumni who

cannot make it to the election, absentee voting by e-mail will be open on 12/1.

The PUAASC Board of Directors election will take place on 12/14. More

information will be announced later.

The campaign has started! We expect an energetic campaign by these two

excellent candidate teams for the opportunity to serve our alumni. Your

support and participation are very important. If you have questions or would

like to offer help to a candidate team, please contact the current President
