Dear alumni,
We have received a message from a PKU alumnus in Boston University seeking
urgent help for a fellow classmate, Chun-Lin Zheng, in China. Chun-Lin, 24 years
old now, was a student in the 1999 Economics class. He has been diagnosed with
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (a form of cancer) and Hepatitis B. Chun-Lin is from a
farmers' family in rural South China with an annual income of about $1,000, but
the cost for getting the two diseases under control is estimated to be around
$25,000.
We have contacted Peking University and verified the above information. We'd
like to ask for your help on the recovery of Chun-Lin Zheng. You could mail a
check payable to PUAASC to the following address of PUAASC:
3109 S. Oakhurst Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90034
Please write "Donation to Chun-Lin Zheng" on the check. We'll collect the
donations and forward them to Chun-Lin via Peking University.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
Sincerely,
PUAASC
