Xinming likes hiking and other outdoor recreational activities, just like

many people who are studying or working in Southern California. The perfect

weather here provides a great opportunity to get close to the nature. To

connect people who love outdoor activities, he started the USC CSSA hiking

club about two years ago, and it has since become one of the most successful

clubs for Chinese students at USC. Activities of the club in the past

include hiking to more than 20 different places near Los Angeles, numerous

ski trips in the winter, annual cherry picking and whale watching trips, and

tours to museums, concerts and Airshows. More information about the club

(including thousands of trip photos) can be found on its web page at

http://netweb.usc.edu/xinming/hiking_club.htmlAlthough many participants

are from USC, the club is open to all Chinese and their friends in Southern

California. We are extending our invitation to every PUAASC member to join

the hiking club activities to share the fun and make new friends. All

future events will be announced through the PUAASC email list, USC CSSA

email list, and other channels.

Jingjing graduated from Beijing Medical University in 2001. Her major is

dentistry in China. Right now she is a graduate student at USC. Her
