CALL FOR GRANT APPLICANTS (http://www.handreach.org
HandReach, a non-profit charity registered in
Maryland, is happy to extend 10 grants this year to
fund projects that promote education in rural areas of
China.
Our grant winners are usually Chinese individuals who
have family or friends in China who can help them make
contact with people in the countryside who need money
for educational purposes.
HandReach grants can be used for school construction
or supplies, for tuition money, or for any other
purpose that helps poor children in China's rural
areas receive the education they need for a successful
life.
Grants completed in the past can be viewed
at: http://www.handreach.org/chinese/pages/projects.php
Grant winners will receive the funds in May 2006, and
their projects must be completed during the summer
months. By September 2006, each grant winner will need to
provide three pieces of evidence for his or her grant:
1) photos of the project
2) receipts of how the money was spent
3) letters from the recipients of the grant in China
It is required that 100% of the grant money must be
spent on the projects in China.
To apply for a HandReach grant, please fill out the
quick 1-page application at:
