-----------------------------------

Dear colleagues ~

Do you know any schools or students in China whose

education could be improved by having more funds? You

can help change lives this summer!

HandReach is offering $200 grants to any applicants

who can guarantee that 100% of the money will get to

China to improve rural education for kids there. You

can use the money to buy supplies for schools, to make

needed repairs, to pay tuition money, or to find other

creative ways to improve education for kids in the

Chinese countryside.

The grant application is only one page and takes about

5 minutes to fill out. The application can be

downloaded (in Chinese or English) from this site:

Chinese: http://www.handreach.org/chinese/c-apply.htm

English:

http://www.handreach.org/english/e-apply.htm

Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, May 16,

and grants will be issued by the end of May. Grantees

will be responsible to carry out their projects in

China this summer, and then to provide evidence of how

the money was spent through photos, receipts, and

letters by October 1, 2007.

HandReach is a non-profit organization founded at the

University of Maryland in 2002. We all work as

volunteers so that 100% of donations can benefit the

children in China who need it most.
