Dear alumni and friends,
We received an announcement of the opening of a Mandarin-English Dual Language Program in Los Angles area recently. Please find their letter below. Their flyer is also accessible at http://pku.org/archive/2007/Jul/school.pdf
Please contact them if you have kindergarten age children and want to enroll them in the first program of its kind in the Los Angeles Unified School District
Best regards,
PUAASC

Dear Officers of the Peking University Alumni Association of Southern California (PUAASC),
My school is beginning a Mandarin-English Dual Language Program in September 2007 for kindergarten students. The program will add a grade level every year until full implementation of the program through Grade 5.
I have attached our Mandarin and English recruitment flyers. I would greatly appreciate your distributing the flyers to all of the members of your organization.
I am sure that some of your members may have kindergarten age children in the Los Angeles area, and I would be happy to give these children an enrollment permit.
This is the first program of its kind in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Transportation is not provided for students; however, there is a childcare program for students until 6 PM daily while school is in session.
Thank you for your assistance.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
