Dear members and friends,
Hope that you have had a great summer time so far!
During the next couple of months, PUAASC will organize and co-organize several big events. Two major ones are the Song-Zhu-Mei (æ¾ç«¹æ¢…) picnic on September 22nd and the PUAASC annual convention on October 13th. The current PUAASC executive committee welcomes you and your friends to join us to enjoy and prepare for those events. With limited contribution of your time, you will have chances to gain previous experiences and to get to know lots of new friends.
Song-Zhu-Mei picnic has seen the largest gathering of Chinese university graduates and professionals in southern California during the past few years, often in the number of 4-5 hundreds. PUAASC is the coordinator of this year, with assistance provided by several association including Tsinghua alumni association and Jiao-Da alumni association etc. By joining us, you will be a member of a big team across multiple associations.
Last year’s PUAASC convention was a very successful event, but this year’s convention to be held at the Pacific Palms Resort at Los Angeles will be an even more successful one. The keynote speakers include the Peking University president Prof. Xu Zhihong and the director of the US-China Institute at USC, Prof. Clayton Dube. At the same location, PUAASC will also host the 3rd Conference of Peking University Alumni Association of North America to welcome the alumni representatives from all the major cities of the United States. Moreover, a fundraising dinner of Peking University Education Foundation will follow the PUAASC convention in the evening.
As stated before, the strength of an organization such as PUAASC is largely dependent on the willingness of all members to contribute their time and talents for the benefit of each other. We believe that it is now a good time for you to come forward. PUAASC EC welcomes you!
Sincerely yours,
PUAASC executive committee
