LOCATION: Anaheim, CA

Responsible for leading the project:

• Coordinate the process and the execution of the project across the Creative Development & Production, Technology, and Business Development teams

• Coordinate all efforts across the three areas (CD&P, Tech, and Bus Dev)

• Document the scope of work with help from functional leads

• Validate that scope can be completed within timeline and budget

• Develop the project plan and schedule

• Ensure every necessary step to complete project is accounted for in project plan

• Clearly organize and forecast deliverables and dependencies

• Ensure proactive scheduling of all aspects of the production

• Manage the full life cycle of projects from requirements through launch

• Estimate resource needs with help from functional leads

• Manage day-to-day tasks and have in-depth involvement to allow for early identification of potential challenges

• Manage project scope and execute change control when additional requests for features or functionality are made

• Elevate situations that may require Executive intervention

• Maintain Disney quality

• Insure on-time project deliverables

• Provide weekly status reports and regular updates to the Director of Production

• Remedy live site errors quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and guest dissatisfaction.

Communication of Project Tracking/Status

• Provide “Monday email” to every project team member that outlines what’s on deck for the week, deliverables due, by whom and date due, open issues/announcements”, “meetings for the week”, hours allotted per person for the week, key project milestones, total project budget and cost-to-date

• Clearly communicate deadlines to project team members

• Provide weekly status of your project every Friday including overall status and any issues requiring resolution and the planned course of action

Conflict Identification and Resolution:

• Proactively identify any risk or conflicts based upon creative, technology or business factors

• Facilitate negotiation among all parties involved in order to quickly identify issues and reach resolution

• Address issues raised by project team members and make tactical decisions to resolve issue and move project forward

Responsible for managing project budget:

• Set up project in TeamPlay/MS Project

• Communicate to team members where to bill their time

• Insure team member time sheets are submitted every week

• Verify and approve time on a weekly basis

• Provide project status including cost-to-date/cost-to-complete to Management every week

• Accountable for delivering project within budget

Responsible for project administration:

• Work with team members to set up necessary meetings

• Facilitate meeting logistics including preparing and distributing a meeting agenda, making sure a conference room/video conference is set up, insuring necessary attendees will be participating and insuring presentation materials are ready and set up

• Takes meeting notes and publishes Conference Reports which include summary of what was discussed, agreements made and next steps

• Follow up with team members to make sure next steps from meeting are clearly communicated and understood

Communication:

• Confidently lead, motivate, influence and drive progress

• Work both collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high level of productivity

• Proactively make decisions

• Must be able to work under tight timetables and pressure situations

• Develop relationships with business unit representatives at DLR international businesses

A. Job required qualifications

• Years of experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years as a web site producer or project manager

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Specialized knowledge / expertise:

• Experience working on database driven web sites and content management systems

• Experience with content entry in large CMS structures

• Extensive experience with HTML, Flash, audio and video tools

• Project management experience managing budgets, timelines and people

• Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia tools (Photoshop, Flash, QuickTime, etc.)

• Ability to work collaboratively with business unit representatives

• Ability to read Chinese, simplified or traditional

• Ability to work well in large cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with information architecture and user interface design

• Familiarity with project management tools, such as MS Project or Primavera

• Experience working in a large, corporate environment strongly preferred.
