Anniversary Celebration at PKU

Dear alumni,

As a reminder, on March 31 we'll hold a seminar on filing tax returns for the

year of 2002. We include at the end our last announcement for your reference.

Parking is free on Sundays at meters around the USC campus where the seminar

will be held. A campus map in PDF format can be found at

Dear alumni,

Aided by USC-CSSA, we (PUAASC) have put together a seminar on filing tax

returns for the year of 2002. The seminar will cover the following topics:

-- Filing tax forms as non-residents (for people who have been in the States

for LESS than five years)

-- Filing tax forms as residents (for people who have been in the States for

MORE than five years)

-- Filing tax forms as self-employed small businesses owners

-- General discussion on taxation systems of China and the U.S

We are honored to have Prof. Richard Koo as the keynote speaker for this event.

Other speakers include Ms. Lan Hao and Prof. Koo's colleagues. Please find

information about these speakers at the end of the message.

The seminar will be held on March 31 from 2pm to 5pm at USC Taper Hall Room

102.

Snacks and water will be provided at the event. For Beida alumni and their

family members, the admission fee is $2/person and for all other people it is

$4/person.

You can park your car in the USC parking structures, or at the street meters.

The street meters around the campus are free on Sundays except when there are

special events, thus please pay attention.

So, bring your questions to the seminar and we will have the answers for you!

Prof. Richard Koo is a guest professor of Peking University; the senior advisor

of PUAASC; Managing Partner of Koo, Chow & Company LLP. CPA's; CEO of K. C.

Consulting International Inc.; and President of Sino-American Institute of

Human Resources. Prof. Koo worked for one of the top six accounting firms in

the U.S. for a long time before he founded the Koo, Chow & Company LLP CPA's to

serve the general public around 20 years ago. Prof. Koo has also served on the

executive committees on many organizations. He is appointed accounting

specialist for the United Nations, and consultant for tax reform of China.

Recently, he is also invited to join the tax specialist group of the Bush

administration.

Ms. Hao, Lan is a CPA candidate with a major in financial accounting.

Currently, she is employed by a mid-size organization in Long Beach. Her job

responsibility covers full-scale payroll and corporate taxation. With profound

knowledge and working experience, she gracefully would like to provide free

consulting services to our alumni.
