Director, Division of Informatics

We are privileged to have the opportunity to assist the College of Medicine (COM) at UAMS in identifying and recruiting an academic scientist to establish and lead the newly formed Division of Informatics within the University’s Department of Biostatistics. The person selected for this significant leadership position will play an important role in the Arkansas Center for Clinical and Translational Research (ACCTR), which is the forerunner to the institutional Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA).

Desired candidate qualifications include:

· MD or PhD degree

· A background in academic bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, medical informatics, computational biology or public health informatics with a focus on biomedical research.

· History of substantial research funding from the NIH or other extramural sources.

· Track record of leadership, including organizing and building programs.
