It is a wonderful event for entrepreneurs and people who are interested in new developments in technology, especially in the areas of Cloud Computing and IT, Biological technology, Clean/Green/Alternative Energy, Aerospace and Space Exploration, Humanities and Social Science, and Environment and Transportation. The Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of Southern California (CESASC) will be holding its 48th Annual Convention and Technical Symposium on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel in San Gabriel, California.
CESASC is one of the oldest Chinese-American professional society in the US (Please see www.cesasc.org for more details). Its Annual Convention consists of Technical Symposium during the daytime and the Dinner Banquet in the evening. Its previous keynote speakers and Achievement awardees included several Nobel laureates such as Dr. Kune Kao (高锟), world renowned scientists, corporate executives, Committee 100 members, and US government officials.
The theme of this year's Technical Symposium is “2010: Innovation for a New Decadeâ€. It is composed of six technical sessions including Cloud Computing and IT, Biological technology, Clean/Green/Alternative Energy, Aerospace and Space Exploration, Humanities and Social Science, and Environment and Transportation, one panel discussion, "Build up New Business Concepts with Innovation", and one Graduate Student Poster session. The opening keynote speaker is Prof. Kai Hwang from USC. The luncheon keynote speaker will be Mr. William Wang, the founder and CEO of Vizio, Inc. NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) will set up an educational booth featuring Mars and Earth Science space missions.
This year the banquet keynote speaker and one of Achievement Awardee is Dr. Leroy Chiao (焦立ä¸), the first Asian-American and ethnic Chinese Mission Commander. It will also include Annual awards program for technical pioneer / life time contribution, annual undergraduate and graduate scholarship awarding, cultural performances, and ballroom dance with live band.
The day-time Technical Symposium will start at 9am and ends at 5pm. The evening dinner banquet will start at 5:30pm.

Admission:
Admission to the Technical Symposium is $5.00 (Free for students with a valid Student ID card),
luncheon with the Keynote Speech is $20.
The Dinner Banquet ticket is $75.00 ($45.00 for students with a valid Student ID card).
Seats are limited and based on first-come-first-serve, and RSVP is required.
