We are delighted to announce that, in close alliance with CFA Society of LA, Southern California Sub-chapter of TCFA CA will hold its first event of the year on Friday, April 30, 2010 in downtown Los Angeles. Upon positive review of his late presentation in San Francisco, Dr. Zheng Liu from San Francisco Fed will come to LA and hold a luncheon presentation on “Do Credit Constraints Amplify Macroeconomic Fluctuations?â€
Professor Liu is among the leading scholars in macro-economics study in US. His dedicated research in understanding the drivers behind economic crisis by connecting real economy with capital market has recently attracted significant interest within FRB System and US leading business cycle research institutions. We believe that the event will be of tremendous interest and relevance to members in banking, investment management and economics/finance research.
We also consider this event a critical step to adding significant substance to our alliance buildup with US mainstream finance professional organization. It will certainly provide an excellent opportunity for TCFA members in Southern California to network with fellow CFALA members. In addition, thanks to Professor Liu's unparalleled deep-root connection with TCFA, this cooperation also help demonstrate clearly TCFA's long-term vision of promoting intellectual leadership within US-China finance professional community.
