Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Deans of UC Irvine's Business and Law Schools and the Faculty Director(s) of the John S. and Marilyn Long US-China Institute for Business and Law, in collaboration with an Advisory Board and representatives from Chinese institutional partners such as Fudan University, the Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of building a premier research and educational program designed to further the knowledge of and dissemination of research regarding US and China best practices in business and law.
The position involves strategic planning and implementation of the overall operation and evaluation of activities that support the Institute's mission, goals, and bilateral China partnership objectives and is consistent with the long-range goals of UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business and the School of Law. The Executive Director is expected to take a leadership role in establishing and promoting mutually beneficial collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, campus departments, and campus administrative officials, as well as external stakeholders, including US and Chinese counterparts, political dignitaries, business and law community advisors and donors. Demonstrated executive-level business management skills and development orientation, relationship-building skills, and exceptional multi-cultural diplomatic communications/engagement skills are essential to this role.
Salary: Annual $75,000 - $95,000
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Occasional evening and weekend hours required for events.
Final candidate subject to background check.
