Event Description: This is an annual event dedicate to bringing members and supporters of ABAOC together in
celebrating achievements and contributions of Asian Americans in Orange County. This event
recognizes individuals, members, business owners, major corporations and a charitable
charitable organization for their contributions and success. This year, ABAOC is also celebrating
20 years of existence.
This year’s gala program will include the following highlights:

• Member of the Year Award

• Student Scholarship Award through the Asian Community Development, a 501 (C) 3
• Orange County’s Top Asian Business Awards
• Induction of the 2012 Board Members

This year, “Breakthrough…†will present those owned, operated, partnered and spearheaded
Asian American companies that continue to strive for excellence in the new economy. These
companies will be encouraged to participate in this new sense of being recognized as a whole for
their overall achievements and contributions to the economic development nationwide and
globally. Companies in various industries with local representation in Southern California,
nationwide and globally will be approached. Recognition “as a whole†means that not just the
CEO or president will be recognized, but his/her executive management team will also join in
the recognition, because they are considered the leadership empowered to make the success
of a company achieve excellence and growth. They may be considered a core team as well.
Event Structure: This is the signature event of ABAOC dedicated to bringing member and supporters together in
celebrating and recognizing the achievement and contributions of Asian Americans in Orange
County. The event will recognize members, individuals, entrepreneurs, major corporations and a
