FYI: Matching Gift Program

Dear alumni,

As you may or may not know, if you're working, when you donate contributions to

PKUEF (USA), there is a good chance that you can let your employer to make

contributions to PKUEF (USA) too. This is the so-called "Matching Gift Program".

In general, the Matching Gift Program concept is a way for you, and your

employer, to support your choice of educational programs and projects among

others. In such a program, your employer will match your already tax-deductible

donation (There may be a minimum or a maximum for the program per calendar

year). That means your donation will at least be doubled. For example, if you

donate $100, your employer will donate an equal amount of $100. Your donation of

$100 thus actually becomes a donation of $200 to support PKUEF (USA).

So, does your employer have a Matching Gift Program?

Contact your employer's Human Resource or Community Relations department and ask

if they have a Matching Gift Program. Each company program may vary, but with a

minimal amount of effort on your behalf, you can substantially increase your

financial support to PKUEF (USA).

If you're luck to be with an employer having a Matching Gift Program, ask for a

matching gift application form. You then complete the form and handle it

according to your employer's guidelines. One common way is to give or send the

form along with your donation to PKUEF. PKUEF will complete their portion of the

form and forward it to your employer for matching.

After that, you'll be notified by your employer and can feel proud.

Best regards,

PUAASC
