Subject: Reminder: Seminars on China Opportunities on Saturday
Dear PKU Alumni,
On behalf of the PUAASC Executive Committee, I would like to express our best
wishes to you and your family in the US and China for a happy Moon Festival
this Saturday!
You and your family are also welcome to join us on Saturday afternoon for moon
cakes. In addition, we have two quality speakers to bring you recent news about
China.
I had the opportunity to meet one of them, Mr. Wang Boming, today. He was one
of the first US educated Chinese who went back to China and contributed to the
establishment of the capital market in China. I think he will be able to answer
a lot of questions we have about opportunities in China and pros and cons of
overseas Chinese going back to work in China. Also he has many connections to
people who went back from the US and held important positions in China.
For those of you who would like to check out the Guangzhou Convention in
December 28-30, please also join us to listen to Prof. Jiang Zhenying who will
tell us what to expect and what to be expected. Ideas of forming groups to
visit other cities like Beijing before or after the Convention will also be
discussed.
Please make your best effort to join us for the special day and special event!
Those of you who applied for your PKU alumni card on May 18, please look for me
and get your card at the event. The cards were recently made in PKU and would
leave you a great memory of our Alma Mater!
Best regards,
Sikun Lan
President, PUAASC
